Abstract
This article discusses the national phraseology of English and Uzbek languages and the semantic features of phrases, and analyzes the views of world and Uzbek linguists in this regard. It also provides information on the origins of the term phraseology, as well as the scholars who contributed to its implementation. The article conducts research on the topic, in the process of which the theoretical data are interpreted on the basis of factual material.
