Abstract
The article deals with the consideration of the peculiarities of teaching a
foreign language to students of higher technical educational institutions. It also analyzed
the literature, which allowed identifying the most effective methods that can improve the
level of students' training after the completion of the relevant course. This article touches
upon the topic of communicative approach and the methods that are inherent to it, the
effectiveness of which is undeniable. It also reveals the reasons, when analyzing which it
is possible to understand the importance of improving the process of teaching a foreign
language, which includes the peculiarities of teaching in a higher school of a technical
educational institution.
