Abstract
The article deals with the role of literature in society. It also analyses literature as a major factor in the upbringing and development of the younger generation. Literature contributes to the upbringing and development of new generations, helps to open new horizons for human improvement, leaving its own noticeable mark for future generations. A new look at everyday things is required from modern literature.
