Abstract
This article defines the place of phraseological units in the system of linguistic signs and the connection of phraseological units with all aspects of human life is considered. An interpretation of the nation's worldview is given and phraseological units are shown as translators of cultural connotations. Various examples are given. The significance and relevance of phraseological units in the system of linguistic signs is revealed.
