Abstract

Relevance. Premature ovarian insufficiency (PÎI) - occurs in 1% of women under
the age of 40. A typical manifestation of this syndrome is episodic or stable
hypergonadotropic amenorrhea. It is diagnosed in approximately 10-28% of women with
primary amenorrhea and in 4-18% of women with secondary amenorrhea. The purpose
of our study was to identify the relationship between BMI and the above-mentioned
biochemical markers, and, accordingly, with the number of follicles in PÎI
